ECMC Group Appoints Josh Slayton President of ECMC Education and ECMC Group Development

MINNEAPOLIS —ECMC Group today announced that Josh Slayton has been named president of ECMC Education and ECMC Group Development.
“Given Josh’s extensive experience across the education landscape, he brings a vision for enhancing and expanding ECMC Education’s offerings to ensure students have an opportunity to succeed throughout their career exploration-to-employment journey,” said Jeremy Wheaton, president and CEO of ECMC Group. “His perspective and insight will be essential as we advance the connectivity between our education and training solutions and our impact investing work to scale positive outcomes for students and learners.”
In his new role, Slayton will lead all operational and strategic growth activities for ECMC Education, reflecting a technology-driven approach to career and technical education and encompassing new program development, program delivery and student services under the Altierus Career College brand. Additionally, he will lead ECMC Education’s Altierus Training Solutions, which seeks to address specific employer talent gaps and improve students’ educational return on investment. He also will provide strategic vision and operational leadership for corporate development efforts and the organization’s Education Impact Fund— ECMC Group’s $250 million corporate venture fund, which invests in mission-aligned, impact-driven ventures that advance the education and training of America’s workforce.

Slayton joined ECMC Group in 2018 as senior vice president of corporate development and impact investing. Prior to ECMC Group, he was chief operating officer and senior vice president of finance for Meritas, LLC, a network of private K-12 schools.
Slayton has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
