Ongoing FAFSA Glitches Leave Thousands of San Antonio Students Behind

The number of graduating seniors filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) declined by thousands across San Antonio compared with last year – foreshadowing a possible decline in the number of students going to college in the fall. Despite this, the San Antonio Independent School District had success over the last year. The district provided $25 Amazon Gift Cards for students who provided a financial award letter and college schedule using small grants through the SAISD Foundation and the ECMC Foundation.
