MINNEAPOLIS—ECMC Group, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit focused on helping students succeed, announced today the winners of the Sue and Chip McSherry Scholarship. The scholarship supports students at Totino-Grace High School who are planning to pursue career and technical education as their postsecondary education path after graduation this spring.
This year’s recipients are Andre Bradford and Joshua Hadzima, who are both seniors at Totino-Grace. Each student will receive $1,250 for their chosen program.
Bradford plans to study automotive mechanics at Hennepin Technical College. He chose this field because it revolves around the things people use every day, and he recognizes there will always be a need for individuals with the skills he will acquire.
Hadzima plans to enroll in the electrical lineman program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College. He has a desire to help his community in his future career and enjoys working hands-on and seeing tangible progress in his efforts.
The Sue and Chip McSherry Scholarship was developed in 2019 by ECMC Group in memory of Sue McSherry, who was a long-time employee of the organization. Her husband Chip continues to support the ECMC Group mission of helping students succeed from his leadership role with the company. Funding for the scholarship was made possible by ECMC Foundation.
The McSherrys are lifelong supporters of Totino-Grace and believe every student should have the opportunity to pursue education beyond high school.
