The College Place-Woodbridge and the College Place-Richmond Announce New Directors

TCPs provide free resources to help Virginia students plan for college

RICHMOND, Va. – April 5, 2018 – Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) announced today The College Place-Woodbridge (TCP-Woodbridge) and The College Place-Richmond (TCP-Richmond) have hired new directors. Danny Eckstein will direct the Woodbridge location, while Jan Smith will oversee the Richmond location.

TCP-Woodbridge, located at Northern Virginia Community College, and TCP-Richmond, located at Virginia Commonwealth University, provide free information and assistance for students of all ages throughout the state. Through in-person, telephone and online support, the centers help students complete applications and financial aid forms, as well as locate scholarships that can decrease overall costs. Staff are also available to visit schools and to conduct workshops.

"ECMC is thrilled to welcome Danny and Jan, who bring substantial experience to help Virginia students and families in navigating the college-going process," said Paula Craw, ECMC vice president of student success and outreach. "We have a long history of college access work in the commonwealth and we're happy to have two fantastic student advocates to add to our team."
