MINNEAPOLIS—ECMC Group today announced that it has appointed Todd Steele president of its affiliate Zenith Education Group (Zenith), a nonprofit provider of career and technical education. Steele will also be an officer of ECMC Group, deepening its experience in education as well as strategy, business development, finance and investing.
"Todd's decades of experience and leadership in postsecondary education will accelerate the success Zenith has experienced over the past two years and enable it to further grow and innovate in the career and technical education space," said Jeremy Wheaton, president and CEO of ECMC Group. "We are also thrilled to have him on our executive leadership team, growing our ability to help an increasing number of underserved students achieve success."
As Zenith's president, Steele will lead the development and implementation of new approaches, methodologies and concepts in support of a focused but growing number of programs and related activities.
"I have been extremely impressed with the trajectory of Zenith Education Group within the career and technical education space where there is great potential to expand our reach and positive impact while ensuring our students are put on a path to achieve their academic and professional goals," Steele said. Steele brings to the role close to 20 years of experience in postsecondary education and business, including serving as president and CEO of Tribeca Flashpoint College where he led the transformation of the two-year media arts academy to a four-year college. He also has significant experience acquiring, building and transforming postsecondary educational institutions and educational service businesses in the United States and abroad in a manner that has enhanced both institutional and student success.
Steele holds a master's degree in finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a bachelor's degree in economics from Northwestern University.
