In this edition of the ECMC Group Skills Sheet:
Postsecondary enrollment remains painfully low for many of the institutions that serve our most under-resourced learners—illustrating an increasing gap between those who are able to reach their educational and career goals and those who are not. At the same time, a disparity exists between students who gain access to postsecondary education programs and those who complete their programs.
To meet these challenges, leaders across the education landscape must collectively create solutions focused on helping learners not only access the postsecondary education and training that matches their professional goals, but also to persist and graduate with employment on-ramps that align with their ambitions. We also must help learners understand the financial factors associated with their education choices and the impact those choices have on their future financial wellbeing.
